The Interesting Insects program gives children a closer look at many of the insects they encounter everyday. Students will become entomologists (someone who studies insects) and uncover the mysteries of eight fascinating insects. Our purpose is to impress a clear understanding of what an insect is and how they benefit our world. We cover each insect’s unique lifecycle, diet, habitat, distinctive physical characteristics, behaviors, natural defenses, similarities and difference in a creative and memorable way.
We offer a variety of levels for all ages. Beginner classes geared for 4-7 year olds and more challenging lessons for 8-9 year olds. The students are introduced to each insect through stories, colorful photos, puppets, hands-on experiments, songs, crafts, play acting and close observation of these amazing creatures.
We off three types of
programs:
After-school workshops are taught in 4 or 8 week intervals. The

The students will complete an insect folder with exciting facts about the insects they have studied. The pricing is per child. Interesting Insects I- ladybugs, crickets, darkling
beetles, butterflies. Interesting Insects II- honey bees, praying mantis, dragonfly, ants. Minimum 10 /Maximum 20 students. Prices start at
